Questions buyers ask before an inquiry

Grouped by stage of the sourcing process, with direct answers. Where an answer depends on your specification, this page says so rather than quoting a figure that would not hold for your order.

Minimum order quantity, pricing and terms

Minimum order quantity is set per line, not per factory, because the construction, the number of colourways and the packaging format decide how the line has to be set up. A single-colour plush toy in a polybag does not carry the same minimum as a multi-panel design in a printed colour box. We state the minimum for your specific line on the quotation. If your first order is below it, tell us the volume you actually need and we will say whether it is workable rather than quoting a figure you cannot use.
Price is built from the specification: materials and consumption, panel count and construction complexity, filling, sound devices, trim, labour, packaging and the testing or documentation the destination market requires. It is quoted on a named shipping term, such as FOB or CIF, with the port stated, so it can be compared directly with another supplier's quote on the same basis.
Payment terms are stated on the quotation and confirmed in the order agreement, and they reflect the order value, the production cycle and whether a sample or tooling charge is involved. Because terms are part of the commercial agreement rather than a fixed published policy, the answer that applies to your order is the one written into the quote.
The quotation states the currency it is issued in. If you need pricing in a different currency, say so when you send the inquiry and we will confirm what is possible. Exchange-rate movement between quotation and order is handled by the validity period stated on the quote.
Where a sample charge applies it is stated on the quotation, along with the courier cost. Development work that involves origination, pattern making and prototype rounds is charged for separately because it is real work rather than a formality. Whether a charge applies to your project is confirmed before any development starts.

How a sample is produced and approved

It depends on how settled the design is. An OEM order with complete artwork and a defined specification moves to sampling quickly, because the work is translating an existing design. An ODM brief without a defined shape needs concept and prototype rounds first, and each round adds time. The sampling date is stated on the quotation for your specific requirement, counted from the point at which the specification is agreed, so the date you are given is the one that applies to your project.
The production sample is made on the line rather than in the sample room, and it is issued with a specification sheet recording fabric and pile height, filling grade and density, trim, sound device grade and placement, stitch reinforcement at stress points, and the packaging format. Bulk production runs to the signed sample and that sheet, which is what makes a reorder repeatable.
Corrections are made and the sample is rebuilt before anything goes to bulk. That is the purpose of the approval gate: a correction at sampling costs a sample, and the same correction after production costs a batch. If the difference is a matter of interpretation rather than an error, it is resolved by writing the detail into the specification sheet so it is not re-decided later.
A photograph is enough to assess feasibility and give an indicative cost, but not enough to produce from. The specification still has to be defined: materials, dimensions, construction and filling. Where a physical reference exists, sending it removes more ambiguity than any description. Where the reference belongs to another company, the buyer is responsible for clearing the rights; the usual route is a variation that meets the commercial target without copying protected elements.

How the order is made and checked

Four inspection points plus detection. Incoming quality control checks materials on arrival; in-process quality control checks the line against the signed sample; final quality control inspects finished units; and outgoing quality control checks packed cartons against the order. Every unit passes needle and metal detection before packing. The full chain is set out on the factory page .
Yes. In a soft-toy factory it is the control that matters most, because broken needles and stray metal fragments are the failure mode that visual inspection does not reliably catch. Detection is applied to every unit regardless of order size, and the pass is recorded against the batch.
Yes. If your retail channel, marketplace or internal process requires an inspection by a third-party agency, tell us at the quotation stage and we will state it on the order and schedule production so the inspection can take place before the cartons are loaded. Our own inspection records are held against the order and available to you.
Problems found at inspection are held at the inspection point and traced back to the operation that produced them, rather than being passed forward. Where an issue reaches you, the reference for resolving it is the signed sample and specification sheet held with the order file. If the delivered goods deviate from that agreed specification, it is handled as a deviation from the specification.

Certificates, testing and the file set

Four: CE marking, ISO 9001, an SGS SVHC test report, and a TÜV AUSTRIA OK compost HOME certificate. Which of them applies to your order depends on the destination market and the product, and the applicable set is named on the quotation. Scope, certificate numbers and validity are confirmed during supplier qualification.
For pet toys sold into Europe, CE marking and chemical-safety evidence such as an SGS SVHC test report are the common requirements, and the specification is reviewed against them before sampling rather than after production. Buyers remain responsible for confirming what their own market and channel require; if you tell us the destination country and the retailer, we will tell you what the file set has to contain.
A compostability claim is only made where the TÜV AUSTRIA OK compost HOME certificate covers the specific material involved. An environmental claim that a certificate does not support is a compliance risk that lands on the brand or the retailer, so we would rather decline the wording than print it. Where a claim is central to your product, raise it at the specification stage so the material choice can be made around it.
The commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin where applicable, and the compliance file set for the order. Carton marks and labelling are checked at the outgoing quality control stage so a documentation or marking error is caught before the container is loaded rather than at your inbound dock.

Formats, cartons and delivery

Polybag with header card, hang tag, printed backing board, window box, colour box and display carton, produced to your dielines or drawn to your specification. The format is approved at the same time as the product sample, because a product that is correct but packed wrong still fails at the retailer's inbound dock.
Yes. Quantity per carton, carton dimensions and weight, stacking and palletisation are specified with the order. If you have an existing carton size or a pallet height your racking is built around, give us those figures and we will configure the packing to them rather than to a default.
FOB, CIF and other arrangements are agreed per order, and the quotation states the terms that apply rather than assuming a default. The port is named so the price can be compared against another supplier's quote on the same basis.
Production time depends on the product, the quantity and the packaging, and the bulk date is stated on the quotation counted from sample approval rather than from the inquiry. That is deliberate: until the sample is signed, the specification is not fixed, and a lead time quoted against an unfixed specification would not hold.

Communication, visits and confidentiality

The team that would quote and run the order, not a separate sales desk. Yisi Pet is a manufacturer rather than a trading company, so the answer on specification, materials and production comes from the people who will produce the goods.
Yes, and buyers who are qualifying a supplier for a significant programme usually should. Contact us through the contact page and we will arrange a date and confirm what you would like to see, including the production floor, inspection stations and warehouse.
Artwork, designs, packaging files and specifications you send remain yours and are used only to quote, sample and produce your order. Ownership and exclusivity terms, including any non-disclosure agreement you require, are agreed in writing before development starts. We do not offer a design developed for one buyer to another.
Send the product, the quantity and the destination country through the RFQ form. Those three points are enough to identify the line, the applicable minimum and the compliance route. Drawings and reference photographs help, but a description will get a first answer started.

Next steps

Sample, quote, catalogue or a direct message

Every route below reaches the team that would quote and run the order. There is no sales desk in between.

Request a sample

Samples are available on several lines. Send the construction, the size and the destination market, and we will confirm what can be sampled and when.

Request a sample

Request a quote

The quotation states the minimum order quantity, the sampling date and the compliance file set that applies to your line. Exact figures are named per line, never as a blanket number.

Request a quote

Request the catalogue

The product catalogue and the procurement guides are sent through the same request form, so that what you receive matches the range and the market you are buying for. There is no direct download link.
