Pet toys for direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands
Your channel does not have a shelf. It has a parcel, a product page and a returns process. Packaging, labelling and product data are judged against those, and a range that is right for retail can still be wrong for this one.
Your situation
The packaging has to survive a courier, not a shelf
A product developed for retail display assumes a flat surface, a planogram and a customer who can pick it up. None of those exist in an e-commerce channel. What exists is a parcel that gets compressed, a product page that has to communicate everything the packaging cannot, and a returns process that punishes packaging that is difficult to open or re-close.
There are three practical consequences. First, the packaging format should be chosen for transit: a backing board or a compact box that fits a defined envelope of dimensions usually beats a display format that costs more and arrives creased. Second, the barcode and warning copy have to be correct in the artwork itself, because a marketplace listing is blocked by a labelling error that a physical retailer might never notice. Third, the accompanying product data matters more than in any other channel, because there is no shelf edge to carry it.
There is also a rhythm difference. E-commerce ranges are reordered more often and in smaller increments than retail programmes, which makes a documented specification more valuable rather than less: the reorder should not require re-explaining the product. Read how the specification and approval gates work in our OEM and ODM process.
What to bring to the first conversation
- The product and the price point — what it is, and the landed cost the selling price allows.
- The sales channel — your own store, a marketplace, or both, since the labelling requirements differ.
- The parcel envelope — the maximum dimensions and weight your fulfilment process can handle economically.
- Reorder expectation — how often you expect to replenish, which shapes the minimum and the packaging decision.
- Destination markets — where you ship, which determines the compliance file set.
- Product data needs — whether you need dimensions, weights and material statements supplied for the listing.
How we support it
What an e-commerce range needs from a factory
Four controls that keep a direct-to-consumer range sellable and repeatable.
Packaging sized for the parcel, not the shelf
Formats are chosen for transit and for your fulfilment envelope: compact backing boards, printed sleeves and boxes specified to survive handling, with the dieline approved alongside the product sample.
Marketplace-compliant labelling
Barcodes, warning statements, age grading and country of origin are built into the approved artwork, so a listing is not held up by a labelling detail that could have been fixed before printing.
Reorder consistency
The signed sample and specification sheet govern every run, which matters more in a channel where a range is replenished frequently and a colour or fill variation is immediately visible on a product page.
Data and documentation for the listing
Product dimensions, weights, material statements and the applicable compliance file set are supplied with the order, so the information needed for a listing and for the market is available at the same time as the goods.
Common starting points for this channel are our new arrivals, best-selling lines and the smart pet ID tag range.
What e-commerce brands ask
Next steps
Sample, quote, catalogue or a direct message
Every route below reaches the team that would quote and run the order. There is no sales desk in between.
Request a sample
Samples are available on several lines. Send the construction, the size and the destination market, and we will confirm what can be sampled and when.
Request a quote
The quotation states the minimum order quantity, the sampling date and the compliance file set that applies to your line. Exact figures are named per line, never as a blanket number.
Request the catalogue
The product catalogue and the procurement guides are sent through the same request form, so that what you receive matches the range and the market you are buying for. There is no direct download link.
Message on WhatsApp
For a short question or a photograph of a reference product, WhatsApp reaches the same team. Messages outside China Standard Time are answered on the next working day.
Send the product, the channel and the parcel limit
Describe what you are selling, where, and the size constraints your fulfilment process works within. We will tell you which packaging format fits and what the minimum is for that line.
